About Rent Property
A Dhaka agency finding fully furnished apartments, serviced apartments and offices for diplomats, UN and NGO staff and international companies.
Short answer: Rent Property is a Dhaka real-estate agency that finds fully furnished apartments for foreigners — diplomats, embassy staff, UN and NGO staff and international company employees — staying from five months to two years. We also let serviced apartments and commercial offices, and manage property for landlords, mainly in Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara.
Why does Rent Property exist?
Renting in Dhaka is harder than it should be. There is no public property register, advertised rents are often not the real rent, photographs sometimes belong to a different flat, and most standard leases are drafted in Bengali. A tenant arriving from overseas has almost no way to verify what they are being told.
We built the business around removing that uncertainty. We inspect and photograph the properties we offer ourselves, we quote real rents from our own listings, and we give every client one person to deal with from first enquiry to move-out.
Who do we work with?
- Diplomatic missions and embassy staff placing officers and families in Dhaka.
- UN agencies and international NGOs with rotating country teams and short-notice arrivals.
- International and multinational companies relocating managers, technical specialists and their families.
- Individual expatriates and families on postings from five months to two years.
- Property owners, including non-resident Bangladeshi landlords, who need a local agent accountable for their property.
What do we do?
Our core service is finding fully furnished apartments for international tenants. Around that, we offer:
- serviced apartments for stays from one month, with utilities and housekeeping bundled;
- commercial office leasing, from small furnished offices to large corporate floors;
- property management for landlords, including tenant care and maintenance coordination;
- relocation help for new arrivals and their employers;
- brokerage, facility management and maintenance support.
You can see what is available today on our properties page.
How do we work?
- We inspect before we list. We visit each property, check the building as well as the flat — generator, lifts, water, security, fire exits and parking — and tell you honestly what we find.
- We photograph it ourselves. The photographs and measurements you see come from our own visits, so what you see is what you get.
- Real rents, not asking prices. The rents in our guides and area pages come from properties we actually list, and we say when a figure is a range or an estimate.
- One side at a time. We tell you whether we act for the tenant or the landlord on each instruction.
- Fees in writing, first. Commission is agreed before viewings, never after an offer.
- One point of contact. The same person handles your search, viewings, negotiation, lease and handover, and stays your contact after you move in.

How does Rent Property check the properties it offers?
We visit each property before offering it and check the building as well as the flat: generator capacity, lifts, water supply, security, fire exits and parking. Is Rent Property a licensed real estate agency in Bangladesh?
Rent Property is an established Dhaka real-estate agency operating since 2009 from Gulshan-1, Dhaka. We hold the trade licence required to operate as a property letting and management business in Bangladesh.
What makes you different from a property listing website?
Listing portals publish whatever an advertiser uploads. We manage the majority of the properties we let, which is why our photographs match the flat, the square footage is measured and the rent does not change after the viewing.
Do you charge tenants to view properties?
No. Viewings are free. Commission is payable only on a completed letting, at the Bangladeshi market convention of one month's rent, and we confirm it in writing before viewings begin.
